This website is run by Ridge Nelson, trading as ÜMBE Studio, in Northern Utah, United States. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Everything here describes the studio and its work. Prices, "starting at" figures and the project estimator show where a project could begin. They are not a quote, an offer or a promise of a price. A price becomes binding only when we both sign a written proposal or agreement that lists the scope, the fee, the schedule and the ownership of the finished work. Nothing on this site creates a client relationship until then.

The site's design, text, code, typeface, drawings and other material are owned by Ridge Nelson or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view the site and share its address. Please do not copy, republish, scrape or rework it, or use the ÜMBE name or mark, without my written permission.

Work shown in the portfolio belongs to the people who commissioned it or own the business it was made for, and is shown as an example of what I made. Company names, logos and products mentioned here belong to their owners, and their appearance does not mean they endorse this studio. If you own or appear in something shown on this site and want it changed or taken down, email ridge@umbe.studio and I will respond promptly.

The "Studies" are self-initiated experiments made for practice, not client work.

Do not use the site to break the law, send spam or abusive messages through the form, probe or attack the site or its hosting, or try to gain access you were not given. I may block anyone who does.

The site links to other websites and services, such as Cal.com, client sites and my own ventures. I do not control them and am not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.

I work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. I do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute about the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Utah, unless the law of your home country gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

The site uses Hanken Grotesk (SIL Open Font License 1.1), Switzer by Indian Type Foundry (Fontshare Free License) and Lenis by darkroom.engineering (MIT License). The ÜMBE Display typeface was drawn for this studio.
